Summer Dreams

If “the point of Resort is to evoke emotion,” as Diane Von Furstenberg says, her 2010 collection was a definite hit; you can’t look at these clothes without feeling cheerful. Bold and bright hues and perfectly draped dresses dominated the collection, with functionally fun separates thrown into the mix. Perfect for a beach party or summer in the city, DVF showed us exactly what resort should be.

Clothes aside, the real showstoppers sat atop the models heads in the form of floppy bow head-dresses. Not for the faint of heart, these toppers tied the whole collection together. If these seem too bold for your taste, try a version that will get you fewer stares by tying a vintage scarf around your head at the beach.
