Preen Resort 2010

As much as we love fanciful creations and elaborate stories on the runway, sometimes it is nice to see a collection filled with wearable looks. Such was the genius behind the Preen Resort 2010 collection, where Justin Thornton and Thea Bregazzi’s mantra was: “Don’t mess with success.” Every outfit on the runway looked completely wearable, only better.

Body-conscious shapes ruled the collection, balanced out by safari jackets and relaxed, pajama-style pants. The bandage dress and lace bodysuits from spring were back and re-interpreted in a slightly edgier style: now the bandage dress has cut-outs in addition to the risqué fit. Ruffles, bubblegum colors, and high-waisted styles lent a feminine theme to the collection. You can easily picture yourself walking down the street in Preen…turning heads all the way.
