Stylist Challenge Winners
By Staff • Nov 12th, 2008 • Category: Juicy Story, Trends
Attention, TSM readers! After our incredibly successful and exciting “Style Your Denim” contest with Lucky Magazine, we poured over your entries and found merits in each one. Each entrant is able to style her denim in a unique, individualized, and fierce way—and we applaud your confidence!
It was very difficult to narrow it down to 3 winners, but these ladies managed to distinguish themselves with their confidence, comfort, and most significantly, ability to style denim in a glamorous and innovative way. The winners will receive a Lucky gift basket chock full of goodies and a $25 Sephora gift card!
The winners of The Supermelon/Lucky Stylist Challenge:
Jane Aldridge - Sea of Shoes
Jane’s outfit is eclectic on so many levels. Her use of high and low fashion is applaudable - she scored her elephant belt and ruffled bolero on eBay! Her Sex Pistols tee is vintage, while her jeans are Current/Elliott. Jane manages to fuse punk and glamour, and she still looks incredibly refined.
Caroline Dengel - Pensare Ancora
Caroline’s outfit is the epitome of updated American glamour. She flawlessly blends classic prep influences with raw, edgy pieces (like her Marni platforms!). Most importantly, Caroline dresses for herself and in order to be comfortable in her environment. She transforms the distressed denim, and it is the sole focus of her outfit. Did we mention, she MADE her jeans?!
Laurel Stovall - It’s Her Factory
We admire Laurel’s look because of its simplicity and the ease with which she blends gray and red, two contrasting, rarely matched colors. Her silhouette is sleek - perfect from day to night with a quick switch of accessories. We love how she incorporates plaid – it’s very versatile and seasonal.
And dear readers, do not fear - we have many reader giveaways, freebies, and contests to deliver to you in the next few weeks!
Love always,
Team TSM

So inspirational! And to think that I’ve been going grunge lately with my denim - black boots, silver necklaces, & flannel…. oy! Time to switch it up!
