Comme de Garçons for H&M

By Khassaundra Delgado • Oct 14th, 2008 • Category: Style

Retail giant H&M is teaming up with couture royalty Comme de Garçons for its new collection. The collection, which is designed by Rei Kawakubo of Comme des Garçons, features a color palette of mostly black and white, with hints of red, blue and gray.

A major emphasis of the collection is the deconstructed jackets and trench coats. While the collection is somewhat pricier than most H&M collections (prices for the most expensive pieces range from $299-$350), the prices are well worth it. It is rare that exquisite design like that of Comme de Garçons is accessible for the public. The collection is available in 200 H&M stores starting November 13, 2008.

  1. I’m excited to see how this collection does. The pieces are apparently more expensive than the average “high designer for H&M” collection, like $80. I want a structured, black coat - what Comme des Garcons does a lot of - let’s see what delivers!
